Ruger P90 - $300
.45 ACP
2 magazines

A solid, very reliable, inexpensive gun.  One of the best centerfire handguns available for under $400, along with the other Ruger P series.  Inexpensive to buy used.  Trigger tends to be rough, which can affect accuracy without lots of practice, and the gun is large and bulky.  Not much respect, but a good quality gun with a loyal fan base.

Ruger Blackhawk New Model - $400

.357 magnum/.38 special with extra 9mm cylinder
4 5/8” barrel
Blued steel

Ruger’s popular modernized single-action revolver design.  The New Model has improved safety features, allowing a round to be carried safely under the hammer.  This is a reliable, fun gun – easy to shoot with .38 special, and a boomer with .357 magnum.

American Derringer Corp Model 1 (2 each) - $400 each

9mm, 2 shot
3” barrel
Stainless steel
Wood grips, with box and papers.

An uncommon model in 9mm.  Small, large-caliber derringers tend to be unpopular due to the painful shooting experience.  Very few are listed for sale in 9mm.  Used ones generally don’t have many rounds fired through them.

One of these has a rusted grip screw (the one on the right), so the price is reduced by $25.

Beretta 92F Compact - $450

9mm
1 10 round Mecgar magazine for non-compact model - works but protrudes from the grip.
2 13 round factory magazine rebuild kits.  These can't be transferred as magazines in California, only sold as disassembled rebuild kits for existing magazines.

Beretta Bobcat - $300

.25 ACP
One magazine

Thompson/Auto Ordnance 45 M1 - $900

.45 ACP
Pistol grip removed but present.  Installing the grip without a magazine lock makes this a California assault weapon.

Light rust freckling and scratches

A modern reproduction of the classic Tommy Gun.  Unmodified, these fall under the California definition of  an “assault weapon” due to having both a removable magazine and a pistol grip. This one has the pistol grip removed, which makes it legal under California law.
